Maeflower believes that business cannot be isolated from the social realities of India. There are challenges in the wake of the Covid 19 crisis, and we are involved in supporting causes that provide solutions to some pressing needs.
Over the years we've been involved in a few corporate social projects that have been a source of inspiration for us. A couple of examples of such projects are:
Tathapi Trust
Tathapi is a NGO involved in women's health and child welfare in a few of the poorest districts in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Tathapi has trained 140 women and equipped them with Stethoscopes, Nebulizers, blood pressure gauges and ECG machines. This has dramatically bought down the child birth related mortality and problems in an area which is ridden with social challenges and conflict. Tathapi are a team fantastic, motivated people and we feel privileged to chip in to their efforts. Maeflower is involved with Tathapi and is a financial supporter of projects for several years.
Yashwant Damodar Mestry Charitable Trust
This trust works in Education, in and around Wada a tribal area in Thane district of Maharashtra. They provide fees ranging to students studying from std. 8 till graduation or diploma students. Maeflower is a supporter of this trust. The Trust has a target to support 500 students for their Graduate studies in an area where there is deep poverty. This is extremely laudable and we are very happy to play a small part in their mission.
